Eligibility Criteria
- Age must be under 45 years on the last application date.
- Must have completed Level-III (FCPS/MS/MD) from a PMDC-recognised institution.
- Possess a permanent practising license from PMDC.
- At least one research article published in a PMDC or HEC-recognised journal.
- Conduct certificate confirming no disciplinary action or political activity during Level-III training from the respective institution. An affidavit/undertaking to this effect must be submitted with the application.
Scoring Criteria (25 Marks Total)
- Research Publications (10 Marks)
- PMDC/HEC recognised journals: Original article (2 marks each), Case report (1 mark each). Marks depend on authorship position.
- Impact factor journals: Original article (3 marks each), Case report (1.5 marks each), with varying marks by authorship placement.
- Only journals recognised at publication time and articles/reports published before the submission deadline are considered.
- Post-Fellowship Experience (5 Marks)
- 1 year or more: 2.5 marks.
- 6 months to 1 year: 1.5 marks.
- 3 to 6 months: 0.5 marks.
- Only experience in recognised institutions/hospitals and certified by relevant authorities is counted.
- Interview (10 Marks)
- Mandatory for all, minimum passing score of 5 marks.
- Candidates scoring below 5 are not considered for further selection.
- Conducted by SHCME-notified Interview Committee with subject specialists.
Preference in Case of Equal Score
- Regular Punjab Government employee in the host institution.
- Regular employee in other institutions.
- Contract/Adhoc employees.
- Private sector candidates.
- Older candidates are preferred in the event of a tie within categories.
Other Notes
Induction will occur biannually, in January and July each year.
