- This merit criteria list is now fully updated according to the 21st August 2026 policy criteria
- Official Policy Document (announced on 21st August 2026).
- Total of 100 Marks: 75% weightage of the score obtained in PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) and 25% weightage of the score obtained from the following 25 points:
- MBBS/BDS Aggregate of Marks (15 points)- Sum of marks achieved in all professionals divided by the sum of total marks in all professionals, multiplied by 15.
– Include Islamiat and Pak Studies marks as well.
- Position at University Level Examinations (5 points)
– 01 mark each to MBBS graduates (5 years) for getting 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position in each professional examination.
– 1.25 marks each to BDS graduates (4 years) for getting 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position in each professional examination.
– Positions must be at the University level, not the college level.
- House Job (5 points)
– Graduates from public or private sector institutions in Punjab who complete House Job in hospitals attached with the Medical/Dental College/University they graduated from: 5 points.
– Graduates from public or private sector institutions in Punjab who complete House Job in recognised teaching hospitals in Pakistan not attached with their graduating college/university: 2.5 points.
– Graduates from institutions in Pakistan but outside Punjab who complete House Job in recognised teaching hospitals not attached with their graduating college/university: 2.5 points.
– Foreign graduates who complete House Job in any recognised teaching hospital in Punjab: 2.5 points.
