Over the years, a recurring concern has consistently been expressed by both junior and senior clinicians: uncertainty about where to begin in research. This reflects not a lack of capability but a systemic training gap, where clinical excellence is emphasized while research skills are underdeveloped, despite their importance for career progression.
To address this gap, a free 120-day blog series titled “The Research Clinic: A Doctor’s Journey from Question to Publication” is being started. Through daily posts, a step-by-step research approach will be provided, covering all stages from topic selection to publication in recognized journals.
The series will be presented in a narrative format, following the journeys of multiple healthcare professionals as they face common research challenges. Through their experiences, practical lessons and solutions will be illustrated.
