The Government of Punjab’s Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department has introduced updated selection criteria for the 2nd Fellowship (Level-IV) Supra-Specialty Programs, effective for July 2025 inductions. This revision, approved on April 24, 2025, aims to streamline the selection of highly qualified medical professionals for advanced training.
Eligibility Requirements

Age: Below 45 years at the application deadline.

Qualification: Level-III (FCPS/MS/MD) recognized by PM&DC.
- Conduct: Certificate confirming no disciplinary or political involvement during Level-III training, with an affidavit.
Scoring Breakdown (Total: 25 Marks)

First Position in Fellowship: 2 marks for topping FCPS/MD/MS.

Publications (8 marks):

(6 marks) HEC/PM&DC Journals: Original articles (2/1.5/1 marks for 1st/2nd/3rd author); case reports (1/0.75/0.5 marks).

(2 marks) Impact Factor Journals: Same scoring for articles published in HJRS or JCR-listed journals.

Post-Fellowship Experience (5 marks): Up to 5 marks for relevant experience (1+ year); 2.5 marks for unrelated specialties.

Interview (10 marks): Minimum 5 marks required to qualify, conducted by an SHC & ME Department panel.
Tie-Breaker and Induction
In case of equal scores, preference is given to Punjab Government employees, with seniority by age as the final tie-breaker. Inductions occur biannually in January and July.
