How to Enter Marks in the GPA System for Punjab Residency Program (PRP)

If you’re applying through the Punjab Residency Program (Central Induction) and your university follows a GPA system, you might wonder how to convert your GPA into marks.

1. Check Your Transcript or Degree: Most universities mention a GPA-to-percentage conversion formula on the transcript or degree.

2. Convert GPA to Percentage: Use the formula or table provided by your university to convert your GPA into a percentage.

3. Use This Example Table for Reference: Below is an example from Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi. Your university might have a different scale, so always check yours first.

4. How to Enter It on the Portal: In the PRP or CIP calculator, you will enter: 67 as obtained marks, 100 as total marks

5. What If You Have Two Semesters in a Year? Just add the percentages of both semesters. Example: Semester 1 = 67%, Semester 2 = 63%, Total obtained = 130, Total marks = 200,  You will enter 130/200 in the marks section.
