  5. Thirty (15) marks for MBBS / BDS Degree (Islamiat and Pak. Studies marks included)
  6. Five (3) Marks – Positions at University Level: Candidates will receive 0.6 marks for each position obtained in MBBS professional examinations and 0.75 marks for each position obtained in BDS professional examinations only at university level. (Important: It remains unclear whether these marks apply exclusively to Punjab-based universities or if positions from universities in other provinces or countries will also be accepted.)
  7. Five (5) Marks – Experience (it is counted for Punjab Govt. institutes only)
      • Experience will be considered only if the candidate has served for three months or more. (Note: Any duration shorter than three months will not be counted.)
      • Primary Health Care Level (Only BHUs/RHCs under the Health & Population Department): Candidates will receive 1.25 points for each three (03) months of continuous service in the same institute, without any gaps or interruptions. A maximum of one (01) year of experience will be accepted.
      • Secondary Health Care Level (THQ/THQ-level hospitals, civil hospitals/trauma centres, DHQ/DHQ-level non-teaching hospitals, major PESSI hospitals in Punjab with at least 100 beds, Indus Foundation–managed THQ-level hospitals of the Government of Punjab, and Government TB Sanatorium, Samli, Murree). Candidates will receive 0.75 points for each three (03) months of continuous service in the same institute, without any gap or interruption. Experience up to 1 year and 8 months will be accepted.
      • Tertiary Health Care Level (Including PKLI & RC, Multan Institute of Kidney Diseases, Multan, etc.) Candidates will receive 0.5 points for each three (03) months of continuous service in the same institute, without any gap or interruption. Experience up to 2 years and 6 months will be accepted.
      • Jail Hospitals:
        • Morning Shift: Candidates will receive 1.25 points for each three (03) months of continuous service in the same shift, without any gap or interruption, up to a maximum of one (01) year.
        • Evening Shift: Candidates will receive 1.50 points for each three (03) months of continuous service in the same shift, without any gap or interruption, up to 10 months.
        • Night Shift: Candidates will receive 1.75 points for each three (03) months of continuous service in the same shift, without any gap or interruption, up to 8 months and 18 days.
  8. House Job: Five (5) marks for a house job from the parent institution of Punjab and 2.5 marks if not done from the parent institute (whether Govt. and Private). The Competent Authority has decided that following criteria shall be followed for award of marks/ points for House Job in January-2022 Induction for Level-Ill, Year-I training:
    • Case-I: 5 Marks: Graduates from public sector / private sector institutions in Punjab, who complete House Job in recognized Teaching Hospitals that are attached with Medical College / Dental College / University in Punjab from where the candidates had graduated.
    • Case-II: 2.5 Marks: Graduates from public sector/ private sector institutions in Punjab, who complete House Job in such public sector/ private sector recognized Teaching Hospitals in Pakistan that are not attached with Medical College/ Dental College/ University from where the candidates had graduated.
    • Case-III: 2.5 Marks: Graduates from public sector/ private sector institutions in Pakistan but outside Punjab, who complete House Job in such public sector/ private sector Hospitals in Pakistan that are attached or not attached with Medical College/ Dental College/ University from where the candidates had graduated.
    • Case-IV: 2.5 Marks: Foreign Graduates who complete House Job in any public or private sector recognized Teaching Hospital in Punjab.
  9. FCPS / JCAT (5 marks)
    • For FCPS-I, those who pass on the first attempt receive 5 marks, candidates passing on the second attempt receive 4 marks, and those who clear the exam on the third attempt are given 3 marks.
    • For JCAT, scoring is determined by the percentage obtained. A score of greater than 75% earns 5 marks, a percentage between 65–75% earns 4 marks, and a percentage between 60–65% is allocated 3 marks.

Discontinued Criteria:

These criteria are no longer valid for inductions for December 2025 / January 2026.

  1. Five Marks for Matric / 7 Marks for F.Sc
  2. Experience at the primary health care level within hard area Basic Health Units (BHUs) and Rural Health Centers (RHCs) designated by the Health Department (SHCMED) will be evaluated based on a scoring system. A total of 5 points will be allocated for this experience. Points will be awarded at a rate of 1.25 marks for every three consecutive months of service, with a maximum accumulation of points capped at 1 year. This scoring system will come into effect starting from the January 2025 induction specifically for hard area BHUs and RHCs identified by SHMED. See List of these Hard Areas.
  3. Five marks for preferring your parent institute i.e. Institute of graduation/teaching hospital (From where MBBS/ BDS was done. This should be among Punjab Govt. Institute. Private Institutes are not included in this.)
