Synopsis Guidelines
- Prior Approval: Synopsis approval from REU is mandatory before article writing.
- Submission Deadlines:
- FCPS-II Trainees: Submit six (6) months before IMM Examination.
- Sub-Specialty Trainees: Submit within the first 6 months of the 3rd residency year.
- Plagiarism and AI Guidelines:
- Plagiarism:
- <19%: Accepted.
- 19% or more: Returned once for paraphrasing; rejected if not improved on the second submission.
- AI Tool Criteria:
- <30%: Accepted.
- 30–50%: Returned for paraphrasing.
- 50%: Rejected.
- Plagiarism:
- Study Period: Minimum 3-6 months or until sample size completion.
- Workshop Nomenclature: Now titled “Research Methodology Biostatistics and Article Writing Workshop”.

Article Guidelines
- Data Requirements: Only original articles with prospective data are accepted.
- Journal Requirements: Publish in HEC X, Y, W category journals or JCPSP-PG (dedicated to CPSP postgraduate trainees).
- Clinical Trials: Provide valid registration numbers.
- Authorship: Must be 1st or 2nd author; duplicate topics are disallowed.
- Plagiarism and AI Guidelines: Same as synopsis guidelines.
- Publication Deadline: Upload published articles (no acceptance letters) at least 3 months before the exam.
- Permissible Study Designs: Includes new designs: Comparative Cross-Sectional, Non-Randomized Controlled Trials, Descriptive Longitudinal.
