Eligibility for M.Phil
- At least 16 years of education (MBBS, BDS, BS 4 years / M.Sc or equivalent)
- One year house job certificate recognized by PM&DC / PMC for MBBS / BDS graduates; foreign graduates need an equivalence certificate
- Valid PM&DC / PMC registration
- Clinical M.Phil (Anatomy, Pathology, Clinical Pathology) requires an MBBS degree
- Duration: minimum 1.5 years, maximum 4 years
Eligibility for Ph.D
- M.Phil in the relevant subject with CGPA above 2.6
- 50% passing marks in the entrance test; at least 2 research publications in PM&DC / PMC / HEC recognized journals
- Duration: 3 to 8 years
Selection: Entrance Test 2026 (subject knowledge 80%, English 20%, minimum 50% in each section) and interview by the Departmental Research Committee. Two years teaching experience preferred.
How to apply: Application forms are available from the Accounts Office, JPMC, Karachi on payment of Rs. 5,000 (including entrance test fee). Submit completed forms with attested documents in the R & I Section, Administration Block, JPMC, between 09:00 am and 02:00 pm. Government servants must apply through proper channel.
