The Punjab Public Service Commission has advertised 107 Senior Registrar posts on contract for 3 years (extendable on good performance) in teaching hospitals and medical universities/colleges of Punjab.

- Senior Registrar Cardiac Anaesthesia (Case No. 36-RD/2026): 7 posts (Open Merit 5, Women 2)

Qualification and experience
- Medicine / Surgery: MBBS or equivalent (PMC recognized) and FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, Diplomate American Board or equivalent in the respective specialty. If none is available: FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/American Board in General Medicine or General Surgery (as relevant) with 3 years post-graduation experience in the respective specialty.
- Paediatric Ophthalmology: MBBS, PMDC registration, and FCPS/MS/FRCS/Diplomate American Board in Paediatric Ophthalmology; or the same in Ophthalmology with 1 year post-graduation experience in Paediatric Ophthalmology.
- Cardiac Anaesthesia: MBBS and FCPS in Cardiac Anaesthesia, Diplomate American Board in Cardiac Anaesthesia, FRCA with CST in Cardiac Anaesthesia or equivalent. If none is available: FCPS/American Board/FRCA/MS in Anaesthesia with 1 year experience in Cardiac Anaesthesia.
- Paediatric Cardiology: MBBS, PMC registration, and FCPS/MD/CCT/Diplomate American Board in Paediatric Cardiology. If none is available: FCPS/MD (Paediatrics), MRCPCH or American Board of Paediatrics with 1 year experience in Paediatric Cardiology after post-graduation in an accredited training program (or 2 years experience otherwise).
- PMDC/PMC registration must be valid up to the closing date (or proof of renewal applied before the closing date). Only experience after the prescribed qualification, from a recognized institution, is counted.
