Dean, Medical Director and Hospital Director: Saidu Medical College (SMC) & Saidu Teaching Hospital (STH), MTI Swat
Applications are invited for appointment on contract basis under the MTI Act 2015. Tenure for Dean, Medical Director, Hospital Director and Nursing Director is up to 5 years; other positions 3 years.
1. Dean (Saidu Medical College Swat)
- MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC, with a higher qualification such as FCPS, FRCP, FRCS, US Board Certification, PhD in Medical Sciences, or equivalent recognized by PM&DC/HEC
- Minimum 7 years of administrative and leadership experience managing a department, institution, academic unit or program, with a proven record of teaching, research and academic leadership
- Heads the medical college, responsible for faculty recruitment and development, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research, and reports to the Board of Governors
2. Medical Director
- Medical degree recognized by PMDC, with management and administrative experience. Higher qualifications such as FCPS, FRCS, MD, MS or equivalent preferred
- Experience in senior management positions in tertiary care / teaching hospitals, a proven record of clinical excellence, and at least 3 years experience leading a major clinical unit in any recognized specialty
- Receives a faculty appointment at the appropriate level; approx. 20% of time permitted for scholarly activities or clinical practice
3. Hospital Director
- Master’s degree in Hospital/Health Services Management, Business Administration, Public Health, Public Administration or equivalent management qualification
- A PM&DC recognized medical degree with a relevant management qualification is an added advantage
- Preferably at least 7 years experience in senior management or leadership positions
