The National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad, under the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, invites applications for project posts purely on contract basis for a period of one year (extendable) under the project “Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) with Public Health Laboratory Network (PHLN) and Workforce Development for transition of FELTP”.
Posts for Doctors (MBBS)
- Program Head (FELTP), PPS-9, 1 post: MBBS or equivalent; 2 years FELTP/FETP/EIS course or Masters in Field Epidemiology/Public Health; 12 years experience. Age up to 50 years.
- Surveillance Officer (Faculty Member, FELTP), PPS-7, 14 posts: MBBS/MSPH/MPH; 2 to 3 years relevant experience. Age 25 to 30 years.
- Surveillance Officer, PPS-7: 1 post (IDSR National Level), 5 posts (AJK), 10 posts (GB). MBBS or equivalent; preference to any of the FELTP courses (short or long). Age 25 to 35 years.
- Senior Epidemiologist, PPS-8: 1 post (AJK), 1 post (GB). MBBS or equivalent with 2 years FELTP/FETP/EIS course or Masters in Field Epidemiology/Public Health (preferable); 8 years experience. Age 35 to 40 years.
- Microbiologist/Virologist (PHLN National Level), PPS-9, 2 posts: MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC; postgraduate qualification in Microbiology/Virology (FCPS/M.Phil/Ph.D) recognized by PMDC/HEC; 10 to 15 years experience after post-graduation; experience in planning preferred. Age 35 to 45 years.
- Microbiologist, PPS-8: 1 post (AJK), 1 post (GB). MBBS or equivalent with post-graduation in Epidemiology and Biostatistics or Public Health with majors in Microbiology; registration with relevant council; at least 5 years post-Masters experience in Microbiology. Age 30 to 40 years.
AJK and GB posts give preference to residents of AJK and GB respectively.

Terms and Conditions
- The previous advertisement of this project published on 10.07.2025 may be treated as cancelled. Those who applied earlier need to apply afresh.
- Five years general age relaxation as per existing government rules.
- Government servants should apply through proper channel and provide NOC at the time of interview.
- Written screening test will be conducted by the Candidate Testing Service (CTS) for shortlisted candidates. CTS will charge a separate fee for each post.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.
