Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Registrar (Contract Basis)
Applications are invited from candidates holding Sindh domicile for the following posts at Khairpur Medical College, Khairpur Mirs, on purely contract basis for one (01) year.
Basic Sciences
1. Professor (BS-21), 01 post each
- Subjects: Physiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Chemical Pathology, Microbiology, Hematology, Community Medicine
- Qualification: MBBS, FCPS/PhD or equivalent qualification fully recognized and registered with PM&DC
- Experience: At least 3 years as Associate Professor in the relevant subject, or 9 years as Assistant Professor in the relevant subject
- Research: 6 research papers as Associate Professor in the relevant subject; total 15 research papers, of which 6 published in PM&DC recognized journals during the last 3 years
- Age limit: 35 to 62 years
2. Associate Professor (BS-20), 01 post each
- Subjects: Physiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Histopathology, Microbiology, Hematology, Community Medicine
- Qualification: MBBS, FCPS/PhD/MSPH/MPH/DMJ, M.Phil (2 years) or equivalent Level IIb/III qualification recognized and registered with PM&DC
- Experience: 5 years as Assistant Professor in the relevant subject
- Research: 7 research papers as Assistant Professor in the relevant subject; total 9 research papers, of which 7 as Assistant Professor
- Age limit: 30 to 62 years
3. Assistant Professor (BS-19)
- Seats: Physiology (02), Biochemistry (02), Pharmacology (01), Forensic Medicine (01), Anatomy (02), Chemical Pathology (01), Histopathology (01), Microbiology (01), Hematology (01), Community Medicine (02)
- Qualification: MBBS with M.Phil/DMJ (Level IIb) or FCPS/PhD (Level III) in the relevant subject, or equivalent qualification recognized and registered with PM&DC
- Experience: With Level IIb qualification, 2 years as Demonstrator/Lecturer after the qualification; with Level III qualification, 1 year as Demonstrator/Lecturer
- Research: 2 research papers in the relevant subject
- Age limit: 27 to 55 years
Clinical Sciences
4. Professor (BS-21), 01 post each
- Subjects: Ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology, Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Urology, Paeds Surgery, Pulmonology, Nephrology
- Qualification: MBBS with Level III qualification (FCPS/MD/MS) in the relevant subject, or equivalent Level III degree approved by SRC in the relevant specialty and registered with PM&DC
- Experience: 3 years as Associate Professor in the relevant subject, with total experience as Assistant and Associate Professor of not less than 8 years; or 9 years as Assistant Professor in the relevant subject
- Research: Total 15 research papers, of which 6 published in PM&DC recognized journals during the last 3 years
- Age limit: 35 to 62 years
5. Associate Professor (BS-20), 01 post each
- Subjects: Ophthalmology, ENT, Gastroenterology
- Qualification: MBBS with Level III qualification (FCPS/MD/MS) in the relevant subject, or equivalent Level III degree approved by SRC and registered with PM&DC
- Experience: 5 years as Assistant Professor in the relevant subject
- Research: 7 research papers as Assistant Professor; total 9 research papers, of which 7 as Assistant Professor
- Age limit: 30 to 62 years
6. Assistant Professor (BS-19)
- Seats: Ophthalmology (01), General Surgery (02), General Medicine (02), Paeds Medicine (01), Psychiatry (01), ENT (01), Dermatology (01), Anesthesiology (01), Radiology (02), Neurosurgery (01), Cardiology (01), Orthopedic Surgery (01), Paeds Surgery (01), Pulmonology (01), Diabetes & Endocrinology (01), Rheumatology (01), Infectious Disease (01), Gastroenterology (01)
- Qualification: MBBS with Level III qualification (FCPS/MD/MS) in the relevant subject, or equivalent Level III degree approved by SRC and registered with PM&DC
- Experience: 2 years clinical experience in the relevant subject in a recognized institution after Level III qualification
- Research: 2 research papers in the relevant subject
- Age limit: 27 to 55 years
7. Assistant Professor, Medical Education (01)
- Qualification: MBBS with Level IIb or Level III postgraduate degree/diploma in Medical Education / Health Professions Education, recognized by PM&DC
- Research: 2 research papers in the relevant subject
8. Senior Registrar (BS-19)
- Seats: General Surgery (01), Psychiatry (01), ENT (01), Anesthesiology (01), Neurosurgery (01), Cardiology (01)
- Qualification: MBBS, FCPS/MD/MS or any equivalent Level III qualification in the relevant specialty recognized and registered with PM&DC
- Age limit: 25 to 50 years
Terms and conditions
- Appointment is on purely contract basis for 1 year, extendable subject to satisfactory performance and approval of the competent authority
- All posts will be filled purely on merit; the contract appointments will not be treated as regularization or seniority
- Only candidates holding Sindh domicile are eligible
- Eligibility and age criteria as per PM&DC rules and Government of Sindh rules
- Candidates in government, semi-government or autonomous service must apply through proper channel with NOC
- Quota for women, minorities, transgender and disabled persons as per Government of Sindh policy
- Regular appointment on these posts is in process through the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC); contract appointment will end once an SPSC nominee joins
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA admissible.
