Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Karachi, a 2,200-bedded tertiary care teaching hospital, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates having domicile of Sindh Province for purely contractual positions for evening and night shifts.
1. Consultants (Non-Teaching Cadre)
- Medicine & Allied: Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Chest Medicine, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Radiology, Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Blood Bank, Toxicology, Infectious Disease, Medical Oncology, Medical ICU, Emergency Medicine
- Surgical & Allied: General Surgery, Anesthesiology & Surgical ICU, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Gynae & Obs, Plastic Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery
- Qualification: MBBS with FCPS/MS/MD or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC. For Anesthesiology, MCPS is also acceptable.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-fellowship experience in a recognized tertiary care hospital
- Age limit: 30 to 55 years
2. Specialists (Non-Teaching Cadre)
- Medicine & Allied: Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Chest Medicine, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Blood Bank, Radiology, Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Toxicology, Medical ICU, Infectious Disease, Medical Oncology, Emergency Medicine
- Surgical & Allied: General Surgery, Anesthesiology & Surgical ICU, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Gynae & Obs, Plastic Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery
- Qualification: MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC. For Anaesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, ICU and Neuro Trauma / Medicine, candidates who have completed FCPS training may also apply.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in the relevant specialty
- Age limit: 25 to 50 years
3. Special Cadre Doctors (Various Specialties)
- A. Special Cadre: Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care / Critical Care, Orthopaedic, Neurosurgery, Gynae & Obs, Thoracic Surgery, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Radiology & Clinical Pathology
- B. Administrative Doctors / Shift Officers
- Qualification: MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC, plus Master of Business Administration Hospital & Healthcare Management (MBA, MPH) or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC / HEC
- Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in a recognized healthcare institution
- Age limit: 24 to 45 years

Terms and Conditions
- All appointments are purely on contractual basis; selected candidates must submit an attested affidavit that the appointment is temporary and confers no right to regularization.
- Candidates must hold valid PMDC registration (or other relevant professional council registration).
- Candidates in Government, Semi-Government or Autonomous organizations must apply through proper channel with NOC.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for written test and/or interview. No TA/DA.
- General age relaxation and quotas as per Government of Sindh policy.

- Submit separate applications for each post. Incomplete online application forms will be rejected.
- Applications must be submitted within 15 days of publication of the advertisement (dated August 25, 2026).
- If eligible candidates exceed the prescribed limit, a screening test through NTS will be conducted. The shortlist and interview schedule will be communicated by email and displayed on www.jpmc.edu.pk.
