Research Associate, Paediatrics & Child Health (2600035B)
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, The Aga Khan University, Karachi has a contractual opening for a Research Associate.
Responsibilities
- Determine and document causes of death through clinical assessment, review of medical history and appropriate investigation.
- Maintain weekly cause of death reports and ensure completeness and accuracy of cause of death forms.
- Identify and report incomplete verbal autopsy forms for follow-up.
- Provide training and guidance to project staff across multiple field sites.
- Prepare and present weekly, fortnightly and monthly project reports.
Requirements
- MBBS qualification.
- 3 to 5 years of related work experience at the community level.
- Strong knowledge of clinical medicine, pathology, and causes and mechanisms of death.
- Good communication, report writing and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at field sites.
- Employee status: Contractual
- Location: Karachi
