Consultant Hematologist at Patients’ Welfare Association Karachi
Required to lead the Blood Transfusion Services and Thalassemia Services.
- Post: Consultant Hematologist
- Eligibility: MBBS, FCPS (Hematology)
- Experience: At least 3 to 5 years in the same capacity
- Competencies: Strong clinical knowledge in Hematology, Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine; understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements; leadership and team management skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Blood Transfusion and Thalassemia Services
- Ensure compliance with blood banking regulations, quality management systems, accreditation requirements and SOPs
- Supervise laboratory and clinical operations including blood collection, component preparation, compatibility testing, screening and quality control
- Oversee comprehensive care of thalassemia patients
- Drive quality improvement and prepare periodic reports for management
