Director of Research & Clinical Trials

Aria Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), a tertiary care and teaching hospital in Quetta with a DRAP-certified Phase III/IV Clinical Trials Unit, invites applications from Pakistan and abroad for a full-time senior leadership post of Director of Research & Clinical Trials.

Qualification

  • MBBS / MD with FCPS, PhD, MPH, MSc Clinical Research, Pharm D or an equivalent relevant postgraduate qualification
  • Exceptional non-physician research scientists with relevant doctoral qualifications may also be considered

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical research experience, preferably with institutional or clinical trials leadership
  • Experience in clinical trial design, implementation and management, and in attracting pharma-sponsored or international multicentre trials
  • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP, DRAP regulations, research ethics and compliance
  • Record of peer-reviewed publications, collaborations and grant acquisition

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for institutional research and clinical trials
  • Develop national and international collaborations, including multicentre trials, and attract industry trials and grants
  • Strengthen research infrastructure, governance, regulatory compliance and ethics
  • Mentor physicians, postgraduate trainees and faculty in research methodology, publications and grant writing

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
