Job Opportunities (Non-Teaching, BS-20)

Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU), Rawalpindi invites applications from male and female candidates with Punjab domicile for the following non-teaching posts on contract for an initial one year (extendable on performance basis). Age limit: 30 to 50 years for all posts.

1. Registrar (BS-20, 1 post)

  • PhD or FCPS or MS or MDS or MD in any discipline after MBBS or BDS (or equivalent HEC-recognized qualification) with 10 years’ relevant experience in a medical college, teaching hospital or HEC-recognized institute; or
  • MPhil or MPH or MBA after MBBS or BDS with 12 years’ relevant experience; or
  • MBBS or BDS with 15 years’ relevant experience; or
  • PhD or MPhil after MBBS or BDS with 10 years’ experience as Registrar (BS-20) or Additional Registrar (BS-19) in a public or private university; or
  • 18 years’ education (second division) with 18 years’ post-qualification experience in administration or management in a university or a government department or autonomous body in BS-17 and above

2. Controller of Examination (BS-20, 1 post)

  • PhD or FCPS or MD or MS or MDS after MBBS or BDS with 10 years’ teaching or administrative/examination branch experience; or
  • MPhil or MPH after MBBS or BDS with 12 years’ relevant experience in a college, teaching hospital or HEC-recognized institute; or
  • MA / MSc / MBA / MCS with 15 years’ experience in BS-18 or above in an examination branch

3. Director Quality Enhancement Cell (BS-20, 1 post)

  • PhD or FCPS or MS or MD with 6 years’ relevant experience in a medical college or teaching hospital; or
  • MPhil or MPH (second division) after MBBS with 10 years’ relevant experience; or
  • MS in Total Quality Management or a relevant discipline with 10 years’ experience of working at different management positions

Terms and conditions

  • Five years’ relaxation in upper age limit across the board; female candidates get 8 years
  • Apply on the prescribed proforma available on the university website rmur.edu.pk, with attested copies of documents, degrees, certificates, CNIC, domicile and 2 passport size photographs
  • Submit a separate application for each post, with the post name on the top right of the envelope
  • Submit the completed proforma in the University Office (Room No. 39), RMU New Teaching Block, Rawalpindi (inside Holy Family Hospital), with a bank draft/pay order of Rs. 2,000 in favour of Vice Chancellor, RMU
  • PM&DC/PMC/HEC/PEC recognition certificate of experience must be attached; experience counts from the date of the required degree
  • Foreign degrees must be recognized by HEC/PM&DC/PMC/PEC
  • Government employees apply through proper channel
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview; no TA/DA
