Psychiatrist (Part-Time), Sun Shine Rehabilitation Welfare Center, Karachi

Sun Shine Rehabilitation Welfare Center, a non-profit drug addiction rehabilitation centre in Karachi, requires a part-time, on-site Psychiatrist to work with patients recovering from substance use disorders.

Qualification

• MBBS or equivalent, with specialisation in Psychiatry
• Valid professional registration and license to practise

Experience and skills

• Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of co-occurring mental health disorders
• Training or experience in adult and adolescent psychiatry, preferably in addiction and rehabilitation settings
• Experience in addiction medicine, rehabilitation or community mental health is highly desirable

Duties

• Psychiatric assessments, treatment plans, and prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medication
• Individual and group psychiatric consultations with psychologists, counsellors and the medical team
• Crisis management guidance and staff training on mental health and addiction
