Senior Medical Officer, Satellite Emergency Department (Part-Time), Clifton Medical Services, Karachi

Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for a part-time Senior Medical Officer in the 24/7 Satellite Emergency Department at Clifton Medical Services (CMS), one of its Outreach Medical Centres in Karachi.

Qualification

• MBBS
• Valid PMDC license

Experience

• At least 5 years of post-MBBS related experience, including one year of house job
• Able to work in shifts

Duties

• Initial evaluation, investigation and management of emergency patients
• Physical examination and close monitoring of patient progress
• Medical procedures under supervision, and communication with the concerned consultant, patients and families
• Clinical notes, progress notes and discharge summaries as per hospital protocols
• Bedside teaching and participation in academic activities of the Emergency Department
• Infection control practices and support in departmental administration
