Medical Officer (Paediatric Cardiology)

  • Qualification: MBBS with valid PMDC registration
  • Experience: Fresh, or at least 1 year of relevant experience

Registrar (Critical Care Medicine)

  • Qualification: MBBS with four years of FCPS training
  • Experience: 4 years of relevant experience

Duties:

  • Lead the team managing all patients in the MICU and MHDU, including airway and ventilatory support, sedation, analgesia, vasopressors and inotropes
  • Pass central lines, dialysis catheters, arterial lines, femoral sheaths and lumbar punctures
  • Handle emergencies such as cardiac arrest, arrhythmias and shock, and lead the Rapid Response Team on duty
  • Use point-of-care ultrasound to guide fluid management
  • Act as shift supervisor, teach medical officers and nurses, and take part in research and morbidity and mortality meetings
  • Counsel patients and families, do daily rounds with the consultant and document in HMIS
