The Emergency Services Department, Government of the Punjab (Rescue 1122) invites applications for the following post at its Headquarters, Lahore, through Central Testing Service (CTS).

Emergency Officer (Medical) (PPS-07), 5 posts

  • Qualification: MBBS with valid registration from PMDC or PMC.
  • Age: 24 to 32 years.

The advertisement also includes non-medical posts (Hostel Warden, Assistant Hostel Warden, Attendant, Fire DERT Rescuer, Emergency Medical Technician and Rescue Driver).

How to apply

  • Apply online on the CTS website www.ctspak.com or through the link on www.rescue.gov.pk, and send the application form by post to Central Testing Service.
  • Only completely filled applications meeting the criteria will be accepted. Apply for one suitable post only.
  • Selection includes written, psychological, physical and skill tests, followed by a final interview at Emergency Services Headquarters, Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore.
  • At interview, a medical report from a Government Teaching Hospital or DHQ Hospital (height, weight, chest, eyesight, physical examination and tests for Hepatitis B and C, HIV and RPR) is required.

Terms and conditions

  • Posts are temporary and non-transferable, with no right to regularization.
  • Vision less than 6/6 in each eye (without glasses), colour blindness, BMI 30 or above, or a positive Hepatitis B or C, HIV or RPR test leads to disqualification at any stage.
  • No relaxation in age or qualification (Army / Civil); Emergency Services Department employees get 5 years of upper age relaxation for administrative posts only.
  • Preference to candidates taller than 5.6 feet; minimum chest 33 inches. Local residents (as per CNIC) are preferred.
  • 5% quota for minorities and 15% for females; transgender persons can also apply.
  • Salary as per Government notification / policy.
