Assistant Manager / Claims Doctor (Medical Claims)

Qualification

MBBS with valid PMDC registration
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures and treatment protocols
Knowledge of ICD-10 coding, medical billing and healthcare claims processing

Main duties

Examine and evaluate medical claims, clinical documents, treatment plans and diagnostic information
Apply ICD-10 coding to ensure accurate classification and processing of claims
Assess claims against company policies, health insurance guidelines and regulations
Detect and report inconsistencies, discrepancies or fraud indicators
Coordinate with healthcare providers and internal departments; prepare claim assessment reports

Level: Mid-Senior level (no team management)
