Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT), Karachi requires a full-time, on-site Consultant Ophthalmologist.

Qualification and experience

• MBBS or equivalent with postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (FCPS, FRCS or equivalent)
• Valid registration with the relevant medical council
• Proven experience as a practising ophthalmologist, preferably in a high-volume or teaching hospital
• Competence in cataract and other anterior or posterior segment surgery and ophthalmic lasers (retinal photocoagulation, YAG capsulotomy, laser iridotomy)

Main duties

• Eye examinations, diagnosis and medical and surgical management of eye diseases
• Supervise and mentor junior clinicians and optometry staff
• Quality improvement, teaching and community outreach
