Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Lecturers

Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (SIPM&R) Karachi, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Sindh, invites applications from highly qualified and experienced candidates for the following posts (Merit Sindh).

1. Associate Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (BPS-20), Regular / Contract

  • Qualification: MBBS with FCPS in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation / Membership of Royal College (UK) / American Board Diplomate, or equivalent international qualification in clinical medical sciences recognized by HEC
  • Experience: 8 years of teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized university or postgraduate institution, including 3 years of post-fellowship teaching experience, with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years

2. Assistant Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (BPS-19), Regular / Contract

  • Qualification: MBBS with FCPS in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (4 year program, Pakistan) / Membership of Royal Colleges (UK) / American Board Diplomate, or equivalent international qualification in clinical medical sciences recognized by HEC
  • Experience / Publications: Not required

3. Lecturer (Contract Basis): Medicine, Surgery, Biostatistics / Research

  • Qualification: MBBS / MS / M.Phil (18 years of education) from an HEC recognized university / institution
  • Experience: At least 1 year of teaching experience in the relevant field and house job; valid PMDC registration required. Or at least 2 years of experience teaching research work / biostatistics / statistics in a university or research institution
  • Responsible for teaching biostatistics and data analysis; working knowledge of statistics packages such as SPSS

General Instructions

  • Only candidates with Sindh domicile are eligible
  • Candidates with public sector experience will be preferred
  • Government employees must apply through proper channel
  • Age limit as per Government of Sindh notification
  • A non-refundable pay order of Rs. 1,500 in favour of Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation must be attached with each application
