- A new notification announces the Policy for Postgraduate Residents inducted into Level-III and Level-IV fellowship programs in rare specialties, applicable only to regular SHC&ME and Health & Population Department employees with at least two years of service. Seven rare FCPS specialties—including Clinical Hematology, Immunology, Virology, Nuclear Medicine, PM&R, Radiation Oncology, and Radiotherapy—are offered for January 2026, with a maximum of three candidates per specialty. - Seat Distribution:
- Seats List (Provincial), Seats List DHQ(Placement), Armed Forces Seats List, Rare Speciality Seats
- A total of 1,483 seats are available across different quotas and programs. Under the AJK, G&B, and ICT quotas, there are 12 FCPS, 3 MD, and 8 MS seats. The Armed Forces quota includes 153 FCPS seats. For the Disabled quota, 7 FCPS, 2 MD, and 1 MS seats are allocated. The Foreign quota comprises 11 FCPS, 4 MD, and 8 MS seats. The combined KPK, Sindh, and Balochistan quota offers 13 FCPS, 4 MD, and 6 MS seats. Under the Open category, there is 1 FCPS Dentistry seat and 2 MDS seats. The Placement quota includes 28 FCPS and 1 MD seat. Punjab has the largest share, with 614 FCPS, 18 FCPS Dentistry, 254 MD, 12 MDS, and 300 MS seats. Finally, 21 FCPS seats are allocated under the Rare Speciality quota.
- The Grievances Committee for Level-III January 2026 candidates will meet on January 5th and 6th, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM PST. The sessions will be held at the Office of the Pro Vice Chancellor at King Edward Medical University, Lahore.
- The First Gazette was uploaded on January 8, 2026. The Grievances Committee, which will address grievances of candidates pertaining to Level-III January 2026, has been scheduled to be held on Friday, 09-01-2026, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM PST at the Office of the Pro Vice Chancellor, King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan.
