Faculty and Medical Officer Posts at University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore

UHS Lahore invites applications from eligible candidates having Punjab domicile (only) for the following posts on contract basis as per UHS Service Statutes 2005.

Professor (BPS-20)

  • Biochemistry (01) and Public Health / Community Medicine (01): MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC plus Level III qualification in the respective subject. At least 3 years as Associate Professor, or 9 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject. Six research publications as Associate Professor (total 15, of which 6 in the last three years). Level IIa diploma or certificate of six months in Medical Education required as per PMDC criteria.
  • Medical Education (01): MBBS / BDS or equivalent plus Level IIb or Level III postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education, Health Professions Education or related field. At least 3 years as Associate Professor in Medical Education, or 9 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in Medical Education. Age limit up to 55 years.

Associate Professor (BPS-19)

  • Biochemistry (01) and Forensic Medicine / Medical Jurisprudence (01): MBBS or equivalent plus PM&DC recognized Level IIb or Level III qualification. Five years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the subject. Seven research publications as Assistant Professor (total 9). Level IIa diploma or certificate of six months in Medical Education required.

Assistant Professor (BPS-18)

  • Forensic Medicine / Medical Jurisprudence (01), Public Health / Community Medicine (01), Physiology (01): MBBS or equivalent plus PM&DC recognized Level IIb or Level III qualification. Two years teaching experience as Demonstrator / Lecturer before or after Level IIb, or one year after Level III qualification. Two research papers required.
  • Oral Biology (01): BDS or equivalent plus Level IIb / III postgraduation such as PhD / FCPS / MDS in Oral Biology. Two years teaching experience as Demonstrator / Lecturer before or after Level IIb, or one year for Level III holders. Two research papers required.

Senior Medical Officer / Senior Women Medical Officer (BPS-18): 02 posts

  • MBBS recognized by and registered with PMDC
  • Postgraduate qualification of MBHA, MHS, PH, DMCH, MPH, MCH, DHA, M.Sc (Med. Admn), MBA (HM) or any other degree in Management, Administration or Finance recognized by HEC or PMDC
  • Five years experience, of which administrative experience in public health or hospital administration not less than two years (one year for M.Phil, none for Ph.D)
  • Age: 28 to 50 years

Medical Officer / Women Medical Officer: 04 posts

  • MBBS recognized by and registered with PMDC
  • One year experience of regular house job
  • Age: 22 to 50 years

Lecturer (BPS-17), Medical Sciences: 11 posts

  • MBBS or equivalent recognized / registered by PM&DC with two years teaching experience in the relevant field
  • Age: up to 55 years

Age limit for faculty posts: up to 65 years as per notification of Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Punjab (Medical Education Professor up to 55 years).

  • Apply online through the university job portal http://portals.uhs.edu.pk/jobs and submit a signed printout of the online form to the Office of Deputy Registrar (HR), Room # 12, UHS, in person or via courier.
  • Deposit application processing fee through system generated challan (1Link or any Bank of Punjab branch): BPS-17 and above Rs. 2000.
  • Attach attested copies of CNIC, domicile, educational documents, experience certificates and PM&DC experience recognition certificates.
  • Applicants in public sector organizations must apply through proper channel. Selected candidates can be posted at any campus (City and Jinnah Campus KSK). University may conduct a subject test if the ratio exceeds 1:5. No TA/DA.
