Paediatric Medical ICU Faculty and Medical Officer Posts (Adhoc Basis)

The Children’s Hospital, University of Child Health Sciences (UCHS), Lahore, SHC&ME Department, Government of the Punjab invites applications for newly created posts of BS-17 and above for the establishment of the Paediatric Medical ICU at The Children’s Hospital, UCHS, Lahore, on adhoc basis for one year or till the arrival of regular incumbent, purely on merit as per Recruitment Policy 2022.

• Professor of Paediatric Intensive Care (BS-20, 1 post, age 35 to 50 years)
• Associate Professor of Paediatric Intensive Care (BS-19, 1 post, age 30 to 50 years)
• Associate Professor of Paediatric Neurology (BS-19, 1 post, age 30 to 50 years)
• Assistant Professor of Paediatric Intensive Care (BS-18, 2 posts, age 25 to 50 years)
• Assistant Professor of Paediatric Neurology (BS-18, 1 post, age 25 to 45 years)
• Senior Registrar of Paediatric Intensive Care (BS-18, 1 post, age 25 to 45 years)
• Senior Registrar Paediatric Neurology (BS-18, 1 post, age 25 to 45 years)
• Medical Officer (BS-17, 12 posts, age 22 to 50 years)

Qualification

• Faculty and Senior Registrar posts: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PMDC, registered with PM&DC, and FCPS, MD, CCT, Diplomate American Board in Paediatric Critical Care Medicine (or Paediatric Neurology) or equivalent. Alternatively FCPS (Paediatrics), MD (Paediatrics), MRCPCH, Diplomate American Board of Paediatrics or equivalent with the required post-graduation experience in Paediatric Intensive Care or Paediatric Neurology, as detailed in the advertisement.
• Professor: also 3 years teaching experience as Associate Professor (or the alternative experience given in the ad) and 5 research publications.
• Associate Professor: also 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor and 3 research publications.
• Medical Officer: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PMDC, registered with PM&DC, one year regular house job, and at least two years inpatient experience as Medical Officer/PGR in a Paediatric unit of a PMDC recognized institute/hospital.

Terms and conditions

• Candidates must be domiciled in any district of the Punjab.
• Attach attested copies of educational certificates (Matric, F.Sc and MBBS with each year’s transcript, valid PMDC certificate), experience certificate, two passport size photographs, domicile and CNIC.
• Employees of government/semi-government/autonomous bodies should apply through their departments with NOCs.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be allowed.
