Senior Programme Officer, Health (Islamabad)

IFRC is hiring a Senior Programme Officer, Health to give technical leadership and programme management support to IFRC and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) to improve access to immunization in hard-to-reach, underserved and emergency-affected communities across Pakistan.

Qualification

• MBBS / MD
• Master’s in Public Health, Health Care Systems Management, Health Systems, Community Health or a related field

Experience

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in public health programmes
• At least 3 years of direct experience in immunization, EPI, vaccine-preventable diseases or community health programmes, including liaison with government, donors and partners

Main duties

• Support planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of PRCS health and immunization programmes, working with EPI, provincial health departments, UNICEF, WHO and Gavi partners
• Help expand routine immunization into new priority districts, mapping zero-dose and under-immunized communities
• Strengthen community engagement and social mobilization to raise vaccine demand and address hesitancy
• Monitor coverage, dropout and zero-dose indicators and support data use, field monitoring and reporting
