Consultant (Hematology)

Consultant Hematologist at Patients’ Welfare Association Karachi

Required to lead the Blood Transfusion Services and Thalassemia Services.

• Post: Consultant Hematologist
• Eligibility: MBBS, FCPS (Hematology)
• Experience: At least 3 to 5 years in the same capacity
• Competencies: Strong clinical knowledge in Hematology, Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine; understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements; leadership and team management skills

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Blood Transfusion and Thalassemia Services
• Ensure compliance with blood banking regulations, quality management systems, accreditation requirements and SOPs
• Supervise laboratory and clinical operations including blood collection, component preparation, compatibility testing, screening and quality control
• Oversee comprehensive care of thalassemia patients
• Drive quality improvement and prepare periodic reports for management
