Postgraduate Admissions 2026: MS (Surgery), MD (Medicine) and MDS (Master of Dental Surgery)

University of Karachi invites applications for Postgraduate Degree programs 2026 (MPhil, ME, MS, LLM, PhD, MS Surgery, MD Medicine and MDS). Programs for doctors are offered by the Faculty of Medicine.

Programs for Doctors (Faculty of Medicine)

• MS (Surgery)
• MD (Medicine)
• MDS (Master of Dental Surgery)

Eligibility

• For MS (Surgery), MD (Medicine) and MDS: MBBS / BDS or equivalent qualification from a recognized university, in addition to one year house job with valid PMDC registration.
• For MPhil and MS (with course work): candidates with MBBS, BDS, DVM or equivalent qualification are also eligible but must complete the deficiency courses prescribed by the concerned department.
• Degree holders of HEC-recognized Pakistani private or foreign institutions must submit an Equivalence Certificate from the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Academics) before provisional admission.

How to Apply

• Download the Postgraduate Admission Prospectus 2026, Entrance Test Form and Fee Voucher from the University of Karachi website (https://uok.edu.pk/admissions/pg-index.php) from June 29 to July 8, 2026.
• Submit the duly filled Entrance Test Form with all academic documents and paid Fee Voucher (non-refundable) in the respective department.

Last date: July 8, 2026

Entrance Test

• Karachi University Entrance Test 2026 is mandatory for all candidates.
• List of eligible candidates displayed on the website: July 20, 2026.
• Admit cards collection: July 23 to July 24, 2026 from the respective departments.
• Test date: Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. (report at 9:30 a.m. with Admit Card and original CNIC).
• List of successful candidates: August 2, 2026 on the University website.
