AJK Health Department invites applications from AJK national medical graduates for postgraduate training (FCPS Part-II / MCPS) in teaching hospitals of AJK Health Department and outside AJK.

Training Slots (Total 41)

  • Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital Mirpur (13): General Surgery 3, General Medicine 2, Gynae & Obs 6, Urology 1, ENT 1
  • SKBZ/CMH Muzaffarabad (9): General Medicine 2, Radiology 2, Dermatology 2, Orthopedic 1, Peads 2
  • SKBZ/CMH Rawalakote (8): General Medicine 1, General Surgery 4, Peads 2, Gynae & Obs 1
  • AIMS Muzaffarabad (4): General Medicine 3, Gynae & Obs 1
  • Directorate General Health (outside AJ&K) (7): Critical Care Management 1, Accident & Emergency 1, Emergency Care Specialist 1, Neurology 1, Pulmonology 1, Neuro Surgery 1, Orthodontist 1

Need based inductions can be made inside as well as outside AJK.

Required Documents

  • Both sides of valid CNIC
  • Domicile certificate
  • MBBS degree
  • Detailed marks sheets of all professional certificates showing marks obtained, total marks and attempts
  • House job certificates
  • Valid PM&DC registration certificate
  • CPSP / University Part-1 result card
  • Job experience certificate in Govt. / public sector at primary or secondary level, signed by concerned DHO/MS (no credit for tertiary care / teaching hospital experience in and outside AJ&K), with appointment notification / order
  • University certificate showing distinction in any subject of university examination
  • Published papers (up to 5) in HEC / PM&DC approved journals only
  • Foreign graduates must also submit PM&DC equivalence examination result card

Prerequisites

  • FCPS Cardiology and Nephrology: 2 years general medicine training completed
  • FCPS Neuro Surgery, Pulmonology and Neurology: 2 years general surgery training completed (as stated in the advertisement)
  • CCM: prerequisites for training outside AJK, i.e. FCPS Part-II cleared in Anaesthesia, Pulmonology, Medicine, Nephrology or General Surgery
  • Accident & Emergency: prerequisites for training outside AJK, i.e. Part-I in General Medicine or General Surgery

Terms and Conditions (summary)

  • Training is restricted to AJK State Subject holders only.
  • Candidates must mention contact details, choice of specialty (1st, 2nd) and choice of institution (1st, 2nd, 3rd); choices cannot be changed afterwards.
  • PG slots will be filled purely on merit.
  • Candidates must mention total marks and marks obtained in all professional exams of MBBS with percentage and attempts.
  • DoH adhoc / contract employees should apply through proper channel and bring NOC from head of institution.
  • Those already doing paid PG training in AJK hospitals are not eligible.
  • Permanent government employees are ineligible unless granted extra ordinary leave for training.
  • Slots may be increased or decreased without notice.
  • Merit list valid only 30 days after closing date of CPSP.
  • Affidavit required to adhere to hospital regulations; surety bond of PKR 1.5 million for EOL (if selected through PSC) and a mandatory surety bond to serve the Department of Health for 5 years post-training.

Submit a duly filled application form with attested photocopies of required documents at the Director General Health AJK Office, F-Block, New District Complex, Old Secretariat, Muzaffarabad AJK.
