Medical Officer, Clinical Trials Unit at Aga Khan University Karachi (260001UE)
The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) of Aga Khan University is a department dedicated to high-quality clinical trials in compliance with International Standards and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. This is a grant-funded contractual position.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements
- A degree in medicine with relevant clinical experience
- Current registration and good standing with the relevant professional association
- At least one year of experience; research experience will be preferred
- Excellent clinical skills
- Sound working knowledge of human clinical trial processes, ICH-GCP and human research regulatory requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and computer skills
Job Role / Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessments and provide medical care to study subjects, including screening for eligibility, prescribing study medications and follow-ups
- Administer the informed consent process with the principal investigator
- Maintain study documentation as per protocol and GCP requirements; report adverse events
- Assist in regulatory documents, ethics review committee (ERC) submissions, study budgets and audits
- Location: Karachi
