Applications are invited for appointment against various positions on lump-sum contract (tenure) basis for a period of three years at Jinnah Institute of Cardiology, Lahore under the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department.

Medical Director (IPS-11, 1 post)

  • Qualification: MBBS or equivalent recognized by HEC/PMDC with MD or MS / FCPS / MRCP with CCT or Diplomate American Board or other equivalent qualification in cardiology / cardiac surgery recognized by PM&DC.
  • Experience: At least 10 years post-fellowship experience in a recognized healthcare institution, of which at least 5 years in a clinical leadership role.
  • Tenure: Four (4) years, eligible for re-appointment upon satisfactory performance evaluation by the Board.
  • Age limit: 40 to 70 years.

Senior Consultant Pathologist (IPS-10) and Consultant Pathologist (IPS-9), 2 posts

  • Qualification: MBBS with FCPS / Ph.D / M.Phil / M.Sc (two years duration) / FRC Pathology in the relevant subject or other equivalent qualification, or MBBS with postgraduate qualification like D.C Pathology or other equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Senior Consultant: six years practical experience in the relevant subject in a recognized institution after post-graduation. Consultant: three years.
  • Research: Minimum 2 research papers in the relevant field in PMDC/HEC/international recognized impact factor journal.
  • Age limit: 30 to 55 years.

Senior Consultant (IPS-10) and Consultant (IPS-9) posts

  • Interventional Cardiologist: 8 posts
  • Cardiologist Heart Failure and Devices: 1 post
  • ACHD (Adult Congenital Heart Disease): 1 post
  • Cardiac Rehab: 1 post
  • Electrophysiology: 2 posts
  • Cardiac Surgery: 6 posts
  • Cardiac Anaesthesia: 4 posts
  • Radiologist: 2 posts
  • Nuclear Medicine: 1 post
  • Senior Consultants: MBBS with MD or MS / FCPS / MRCP with CCT or Diplomate American Board or other equivalent qualification in the relevant subject recognized by PM&DC, with at least 6 years of experience after post-graduation.
  • Consultants: MBBS with MD or MS / FCPS / MRCP with CCT or Diplomate American Board or other equivalent qualification in the relevant subject recognized by PM&DC, with at least 3 years of experience after post-graduation.
  • Research: Minimum 2 research papers in the relevant field in PMDC/HEC/international recognized impact factor journal.
  • Age limit: 30 to 55 years.
