Admissions in Postgraduate Training Programs (Session 2026-B) at Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma (SMBBIT) Karachi

Programs and Required Qualification

  • FCPS-II Anaesthesiology (4-year postgraduate training program): FCPS Part-I passed in the relevant field.
  • MCPS Anaesthesiology (2-year postgraduate training program): MBBS with one-year house job certificate.
  • FCPS-II Emergency Medicine (5-year postgraduate training program): FCPS Part-I passed in Medicine & Allied, General Surgery or Anaesthesiology.
  • FCPS-II Orthopaedic Surgery (4-year postgraduate training program): FCPS Part-I passed, and one or two year residency in General Surgery completed (both candidates eligible to apply).
  • FCPS-II Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (4-year postgraduate training program): FCPS Part-I passed in the relevant field.
  • FCPS-II Thoracic Surgery (3-year postgraduate training program): FCPS Part-I passed, and one or two year residency in General Surgery completed.
  • FCPS-II Radiology (4-year postgraduate training program): FCPS Part-I passed in the relevant field.
  • MCPS Radiology (2-year postgraduate training program): MBBS with one-year house job certificate.
  • FCPS-II Plastic Surgery (3-year postgraduate training program): FCPS Part-I passed, and one or two year residency in General Surgery completed.
  • Second Fellowship Infectious Diseases (2-year postgraduate training program): FCPS-II (Medicine & Allied) pass certificate.
  • Second Fellowship Vascular Surgery (2-year postgraduate training program): FCPS-II (General Surgery) pass certificate.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only candidates holding Sindh domicile are eligible to apply.
  • CPSP registration certificate, if already registered.
  • Valid PMDC registration.
  • MBBS / BDS degree as required for the program.

Important Notes

  • Candidates already registered with other institutions must submit an NOC from CPSP at the time of interview.
  • Candidates awaiting FCPS Part-I results may apply at their own responsibility; they must present the pass result before appearing in the interview.
  • All government employees must submit an NOC from the Health Department, Government of Sindh at the time of interview. After selection, government officers must submit NOC / deputation / posting orders within one week.

  • Submit a non-refundable bank challan of Rs. 8,000/- at any branch of Sindh Bank Limited.
  • Last date for bank challan submission is Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
  • After selection, candidates will be called for verification and submission of documents.
