Senior Medical Officer, Emergency Medicine (Adult), Locum (260001HD) at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi

The successful candidate will work non-full time in shifts (day/night) to support Emergency Room operations as a locum physician.

Requirements

  • MBBS degree with a valid PMDC license
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Emergency Medicine / Surgery / Medicine, OR 8 years of experience in a large hospital (at least 100 beds)
  • Candidates with structured residency training will be preferred
  • Ability to work independently and with teams, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
  • Willing to work in shifts

Responsibilities

  • Initial evaluation, investigation, and management of patients
  • Work under the supervision of on-call faculty for admitted patients’ care
  • Bedside teaching and supervision of interns and medical officers on rotation
  • Participate in academic activities such as grand rounds and journal clubs
