Research Associate, Institute for Global Health and Development (260000WF), The Aga Khan University, Badin

The Aga Khan University’s Institute for Global Health and Development (IGHD) invites applications for a grant-funded contractual position of Research Associate. Primary location: Badin (other location: Karachi).

Qualification

• MBBS or Bachelor’s in Public Health / Social Sciences / Environmental Sciences or relevant field (16 years of education)

Experience and skills

• 1 year experience, preferably in community work
• Knowledge of related software packages; basic knowledge of data collection, analysis, interpretation, report writing and biostatistics
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team
• Should be able to communicate in English and Sindhi

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor project activities including data collection and analysis
• Develop data collection tools, evaluate and validate collected data, conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Work on proposal development, literature review and peer-reviewed publications
• Liaise with granting agencies and stakeholders; train and mentor junior staff; prepare progress and activity reports

• Employee Status: Contractual
