SMBZAN Institute of Cardiology Quetta invites applications for the following positions, purely on contract basis.

Associate / Assistant Professors

  • Associate Professor (Paediatric Cardiology), BPS-19, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS in Paeds; FCPS in Paeds Cardiology; 3 to 5 years post qualification experience in Paeds Cardiology from a well reputed cardiology institute preferred.
  • Assistant Professor (Paediatric Cardiology), BPS-18, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS in Paeds; FCPS in Paeds Cardiology; 1 to 2 years post qualification experience in Paeds Cardiology from a well reputed cardiology institute preferred.
  • Assistant Professor (Cardiac Surgery), BPS-18, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS / MS / MD Cardiac Surgery; 2 to 3 years post qualification experience in Adult Cardiac Surgery from a well reputed cardiology institute preferred.
  • Assistant Professor (Anesthesia), BPS-18, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS Anesthesia / FCPS Cardiothoracic Anesthesia; 2 to 3 years post qualification experience in Cardiac Anesthesia from a well reputed cardiology institute preferred.
  • Assistant Professor (Gynaecology), BPS-18, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS Obstetrics & Gynaecology; 2 to 3 years post qualification experience in relevant specialty at a reputed hospital / institute.
  • Assistant Professor (Nephrology), BPS-18, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS Nephrology; 2 to 3 years post qualification experience in relevant specialty at a reputed hospital / institute.
  • Assistant Professor (Pulmonology), BPS-18, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS Pulmonology; 2 to 3 years post qualification experience in relevant specialty at a reputed hospital / institute.
  • Assistant Professor (Nuclear Medicine), BPS-18, 1 post: FCPS Nuclear Medicine, or Diplomat American Board (Nuclear Medicine), or MS (Nuclear Medicine) from an HEC recognized university with 3 years practical experience in Nuclear Medicine after post graduation.

Senior Registrars / Specialist

  • Senior Registrar (Paediatric Cardiology), BPS-18, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS in Paeds; FCPS in Paeds Cardiology, or completed Paeds Cardiology fellowship training at a well reputed cardiology institute.
  • Senior Registrar (Cardiac Surgery), BPS-18, 2 posts: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS / MS / MD Cardiac Surgery; 1 to 2 years post qualification experience in Adult Cardiac Surgery from a well reputed cardiology institute preferred.
  • Senior Registrar (Anesthesia), BPS-18, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS Anesthesia / FCPS Cardiothoracic Anesthesia; 1 to 2 years post qualification experience in Cardiac Anesthesia from a well reputed cardiology institute preferred.
  • Senior Registrar (Nuclear Medicine), BPS-18, 1 post: As per PM&DC criteria; FCPS (Nuclear Medicine) or MS (Nuclear Medicine); 1 to 2 years work experience in Gamma camera and PET CT from any recognized institute / teaching hospital.
  • Specialist (Anesthesiologist), BPS-18, 2 posts: As per PM&DC criteria; MCPS, DA or MSc in Cardiac Anesthesia; 1 to 2 years post qualification experience in Cardiac Anesthesia from a well reputed cardiology institute preferred.

Junior Registrars

  • Junior Registrar (Cardiology), BPS-17, 1 post: MBBS or equivalent; FCPS II training completed in Cardiology and eligible for exam, or Dip Card qualified; preference to FCPS qualified.
  • Junior Registrar (Cardiac Surgery), BPS-17, 1 post: MBBS or equivalent; FCPS II training completed in Cardiac Surgery and eligible for exam; preference to FCPS qualified.
  • Junior Registrar (Anesthesia), BPS-17, 1 post: MBBS or equivalent; FCPS II training completed in Anesthesia and eligible for exam; preference to FCPS qualified.
  • Junior Registrar (Radiology), BPS-17, 1 post: MBBS or equivalent; FCPS II training completed in Radiology and eligible for exam; preference to FCPS qualified.

Medical Officers

  • Medical Officer / Lady Medical Officer, BPS-17, 4 posts: MBBS or equivalent; 1 year house job; registered with PMDC; preference to those with at least 1 year experience in Cardiology / Cardiac Surgery / General Surgery / Critical Care Medicine.
  • Medical Officer / Lady Medical Officer (Paeds), BPS-17, 1 post: MBBS or equivalent; 1 year house job; registered with PMDC; preference to candidates with at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in Paediatrics, Paediatric Cardiology, Paediatric Cardiac Surgery, General Surgery or Critical Care Medicine in a recognized tertiary care hospital.

Selected candidates will be offered a two-year contract, extendable on performance, with a probation period of three months and attractive financial packages.
