Admissions in 2-Year Postgraduate Diploma Programs (Session 2026-2028) at King Edward Medical University Lahore

King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore invites applications for admission in two-year Postgraduate Diploma Programs in the following subjects:

  • Diploma in Anesthesiology
  • Diploma in Ear Nose and Throat (ENT)
  • Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence
  • Diploma in Dermatology
  • Diploma in Family Medicine
  • Diploma in Public Health (Preventive Medicine)
  • Diploma in Community Child Health
  • Diploma in Clinical Pathology
  • Diploma in Paediatrics Surgery

Eligibility

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC.
  • Certificate of one year House Job from institutions / hospitals recognized by PM&DC.
  • Valid certificate of permanent or provisional registration with PM&DC.

Entry Examination

  • Total marks 150: Written Paper 120 marks (120 MCQs) and Interview 30 marks.
  • MCQs: Basic Sciences (Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology: 10 each), General Medicine 40, General Surgery 40.
  • Applicants with M.Phil Basic Science / FCPS / MD / MS / MDS / MRCP / Diplomat American Board or equivalent are exempted from the written paper but must appear in the interview.
  • Candidates must secure at least 50% in each component and 60% in total to pass.
  • Entry Test: Tuesday, February 17, 2026, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Admit cards from the Office of the Controller of Examinations from February 8, 2026.
  • Result of written paper: February 24, 2026.

Fee Structure

  • Admission Fee Rs. 5,000; Registration Fee Rs. 2,000; Tuition Fee Rs. 57,500; Misc Charges Rs. 3,000; Library Security Rs. 3,000.
  • Entry Examination and Application Form fee: Rs. 3,000 (non-refundable), deposited in the authorized bank of KEMU or by pay order in favour of Vice Chancellor, KEMU, Lahore.

Documents Required

  • MBBS degree, valid PM&DC registration, detailed marks sheets, attempt certificates, one year house job certificate, CNIC, Domicile, NOC from current employer (if applicable), experience certificates.

How to Apply

Application forms can be downloaded from www.kemu.edu.pk or obtained from the Office of the Assistant Registrar (Academics), Patiala Block, KEMU, Nila Gumbad, Anarkali, Lahore. Fee and admission form with original fee deposit slip / pay order can be submitted from January 12, 2026 to January 26, 2026 by hand or by post / courier (write “Diploma Programs” on the envelope).
