Applications are invited under the Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Act 2015 for the following vacancies at MTI-HMC and Affiliate Institutes, Peshawar.

1. Faculty Positions (Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor)

Qualification:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized / registered by the PM&DC.
  • PM&DC recognized medical qualification in the respective specialty, or other equivalent qualification in the relevant specialty approved by the Standing Recognition Committee (SRC) and recognized / registered by the PM&DC.
  • The candidate must meet the PM&DC and MTI criteria for faculty selection.
  • Upon selection, the candidate will receive a faculty position at the appropriate level (Assistant, Associate or full Professor).

2. Demonstrator Basic Sciences (Anatomy, Pathology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine and Medical Education)

Contractual, non-extendable, 03 years.

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification fully recognized / registered by the PM&DC.
  • Preference to candidates having higher qualifications in Basic Sciences or in the process of attaining one.
  • Experience as demonstrator in a medical college / university will be preferred.

3. Research Officer

Contractual, extendable, 03 years.

  • MBBS / BDS or equivalent.
  • MSc Epidemiology / MPH (two years) / MHR, registered with PM&DC.
  • At least 02 years experience as Epidemiologist / Research Officer in any reputable public / private registered institution / hospital.

Selected candidates will be offered grade / scale as per IPC MTI-HMC and Affiliate Institutes (HMC, KGMC, IKD, B&PSC and PICO).

  • Processing fee (non-refundable): Rs. 3000 for faculty positions; Rs. 2000 for Demonstrator and Research Officer. Deposit with the cashier (Account Section) in KGMC or online in the KGMC account titled “Salary Account of KGMC Employees”, Account No. 3005642387, Bank of Khyber (BOK), and attach the original slip with the application form.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview; shortlisting may be on pre-interview marks or an entry test. No TA/DA is admissible.
