Applications are invited from suitable and qualified candidates for the post of Disease Surveillance Officer (DSO) of Loralai Division on contractual basis.

  • Post: Medical Officer (B-17) / Lady Medical Officer (B-17) to be posted as Disease Surveillance Officer (DSO)
  • BPS: 17
  • Qualification: MBBS / BDS from any institution recognized by the PMDC. Priority will be given to MSPH / MPH / FETP. Permanent PMDC registration with postgraduate qualification mentioned therein
  • Seats: 3 (Loralai 1, Duki 1, Musakhail 1, Barkhan 0)
  • Age limit: As per Government of Balochistan rules
  • Candidates from all over Balochistan are eligible to apply
  • Contract basis; candidates will not be regularized under any circumstances, but contract may be extended on satisfactory performance
  • Salary: Respective basic scale with applicable allowances
  • Government, semi-government and autonomous organization employees must apply through proper channel with NOC

Job description

The DSO will lead, coordinate and supervise all surveillance activities in the district and act as the single point of all surveillance data and outbreak response, including reviewing and refining the surveillance system, active case searches, community engagement, investigation and response to alerts and outbreaks, line-listing and data reporting.
